This was within walking distance of our hotel. Family run restaurant in which all patrons except us seemed to be locals . No flash decor, there are supplies stored up the stairway and on the second floor dining area. No English menu but Google translate does the job. Food was great and Chinese flavours a nice change after 2 weeks of Japanese cuisine. Friendly service and non tourist pricing. We ate there twice it was worth going back.

하 ㄹㅇ 우에노 마파두부 1황이에요 향신료 잔뜩 넣어서 혀가 얼얼한게 너무 좋아요 처음 먹고 친구들이랑 매일 여기 생각나서 매일 저녁마다 포장해와서 먹었어요. 진짜 우에노 지나가면 꼭 가보세요

よだれ鶏が最高に美味しい。鶏の肉感とタレが良くあっている。ランチのコスパは抜群。麻婆豆腐も美味しいらしいので機会があれば食してみたい。
